Embarrassing Myself Once Again

I'm still pretty new at this blogging thing, and I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do, but I'm just gonna wing it. I'm trying me best to just be myself here, but usually when I try at that is when I get the worst results. I'm sure I'll hit my stride.... Eventually.... I actually have a funny story about that.
So I run cross country at my high school and I'm a junior this year. There was a butt load of freshmen that joined the team this year and I usually try to be an impressionable and responsible leader for the people in my workout group. I actually tried way too hard to be a good example and whatnot and I made myself look like a complete idiot in front of this one particular freshman I was trying to impress. His name was Ryan and we are actually pretty good friends now. He rides my bus and we talk every morning at the bus stop. Anyways, I always acted like I was the big shot leader and everything but then I ended up being the slowest person in the group and it was pretty embarrassing. He probably hated me in the beginning, but then I stopped caring about what people thought about me, and now I'm on good terms with everyone and everything's fine and dandy. Well, everything except I'm still really slow. Oh well ;P I'm mostly there for the fun and the boys anyways. (And by boys I mean one boy in particular if ya know what I mean ;) Just kidding. Cross Country people (at least at my school) are the most goody-two-shoes people you will ever have the privilege of meeting.
I guess what I'm trying to say is; I really hope I hit my stride soon. So let's strike up a deal: I'll try not to try too hard (hehe that's an oxymoron) to be too likable and just be myself, and hopefully you guys will figure me out and get all my jokes sooner or later. Cause, not to toot my own horn or anything, but I think I'm a pretty hilarious person. Hopefully all the people who said I should do this weren't trying to trick me into embarrassing myself, like I apparently have a habit of doing. Then again, who doesn't like to embarrass themselves on the Internet??

How not to start a blog

This is so strange. People get on the Internet to read what people think about random topics. It makes no sense to me whatsoever. Yet, here I am ranting about blogs to bloggers or whatever you call someone who reads blogs. I've been told by numerous people to write a blog, but I don't get why. I'm so cheesy. Wanna know what my favorite joke is? Why does a bike always have to lean on a kick stand? Cause it's too tired!! Jeez I crack myself up! Seriously the first time I heard that one I couldn't stop laughing for 5 minutes. I love corny jokes. Oh yeah, here's another reason I shouldn't be a blogger; I suck at spelling and grammar. Just then when I was saying "jeez" it took me 5 tries to get it and I don't even think that's right. Is "jeez" even a real word? I seriously doubt it. That reminds me Of another joke! What do you call a fake noodle? An impasta!!! XDDDD golly ghee that's funny! Okay this is a stale post so far so let me indulge you in the life of the average me: Just kidding I'm boring, let's talk about something else. Im better at this when I'm writing with pen and paper and I actually have something to write about..... Well right now I'm a little upset. I have a load of things to study, books to read, and homework to do but Whenever that happens I usually just do something completely irrelevant and ignore my responsibilities. That's why I decided to blog right now, even though I think I'm not doing so hot at it. Hey I can always just not publish it right? Or just not tell anyone about it?
Right now is the changing of the seasons. Summer is coming to a close and fall is upon us. The leaves have started changing colors, its cool in the mornings and warm in the afternoons, the trees are beautiful and bright, and I hate it. Sure the beginning of fall is sort of pretty, and yeah I'm lucky that I don't have allergies like most people do this time of year, but I can't help but hate fall. It mocks me..... It took away my summer! I love summer, not only because there isn't any school and because you can go on vacations, but because I have this weird thing about the heat. I love it. I don't know why or how, I just love it. Running in it is a different story, but more about that later. I also love summer because plants grow, the earth is alive, and the sun doesn't set until 9!!! It's still a little warm at night! Oh my gosh I'm summer-sick just thinking about it.... But then stupid fall and it's stupid leaves take that all away from me...I hate raking and I hate watching all the trees die and I especially hate having to realize that winter is around the corner; the time of chapped lips and bulky coats.... Gosh I hate it. I would say that I hate it with a burning passion, but it's more icy I guess because it fits the season. More than I hate fall, I hate winter. It's always dry, dark, and windy. That's the worst possible combination if weather. And the only upside about winter is the snow, and here in Maryland we get snow sometimes, but then you get a little bit and you get all happy, and then after that it's just "meh." I might hate winter too because my birthday is in December. I know what you're thinking, "oh my gosh you should love December because that's you're birth month!" No, no I don't. I hate December because I always want it to snow on my birthday, but it never is cold enough to. Anyways, winter sucks. Everything is always dry and cold and everyone is always bundled up and stuffy. Plus, that's when you always get electric shocks from everyone. SOOOO ANNOYING. But I guess that's what life's all about, getting used to changes. So even though I hate to quote Game of Thrones; be prepared, "winter is coming." DUH DUH DUUUHHH *cue the screeching violins*
